Sim Simpson Riverside Salon and Day Spa owner opened an exciting new Salon and Art gallery at 207 SW “G” Street . This new location features many sculptures by Sim as well as an extensive collection of mezzotint Art by world renown artist G.H. Rothe. Each First Friday also highlights many other local Guest Artists to display their talent and artistry to the attending public.
Sim is an accomplished Hair Designer by winning over 78 National and International awards, including the United States Championship, three California Championships, the “Journie De Autome” Brussels, Belgium and Festival of Fashions Paris France. Creating these designs launched Sim into a sculpting career in addition to his extensive contribution to cosmetology education. Sim has written seven books for the Aware Hair Designer together with many films on design techniques. He has been a guest artist and lecturer in 31 states as well as Canada and Japan. Before moving to Grants Pass. Sim was a Hair stylist for Witt, Thomas, Harris Productions “Empty Nest”, “Soap”, “it’s a Living” and “Heartland” plus many television specials, commercials, and hair stylist for the Academy Awards. | |
