Sherrill Brumbach - Painting |
| |
| As a very young child I realized I was cut out to be an artist. My early attempts at drawing were gratifyingly successful and, from that day to this, artwork has been the most exhilarating pursuit in my life. I took whatever art classes were available throughout school and college, but set my art aside when family responsibilities became a priority.
In reality, I feel like something of a beginner as a painter, because it is only since my move to Southern Oregon in 2001 that I have given my full attention to painting (color work). The first time I tried pastel, I found it to be a perfect fit for me. But I also love a good watercolor painting, so I continue to pursue the challenge of trying out various watercolor techniques.
I’ve studied under Marshall McDaniels, Roni Marsh, Albert Handell, Frank Federico, Maggie Price and my brother, Jim Lamb and have earned several regional awards. | |
