| I was born and raised in Los Angeles California, and moved to Southern Oregon in the 70’s. The attraction of city life and sky scrapers are my passion and has never left me. In this series, “A View From Above”, I have expressed my heartfelt love for the city, with an abstract version of city streets and roof tops. I acquired my visual composition from computer chip diagrams, using chosen sections to convey the structure of each painting.
My paintings are in watercolor on yupo paper. Yupo paper is synthetic and one-hundred percent recyclable, fine art paper. The majority of time when painting, I use a small roller instead of a brush, applying multiple layers of watercolor paint to obtain elements of texture and depth to each composition.
